Hi! I’m Alexandra — CEO & Founder of SANO SKIN.

At 25, I struggled to find one place where I could shop an entire skincare routine made with clean, non-irritating ingredients. Most products I tried contained unnecessary irritants, pollutants, endocrine disruptors and, in some cases, even carcinogenic ingredients. Even if the dosage was “within limits,” I didn’t want to use products that had the potential to harm my skin or health over time. So… I created my own.

I first became obsessed with skincare in 2020 during lockdown. Like many essential workers, I spent long hours wearing a mask and my skin reacted badly — constant breakouts and irritation. I dove into skincare education (shout-out to Hyram and James Welsh!) and became fascinated with ingredients, discovering what my skin loved and what it definitely didn’t. That research opened my eyes to how many brands still use harsh or unnecessary chemicals — and how difficult it was to find simple, effective formulas that were also aesthetically pleasing and enjoyable to use.

SANO SKIN was born out of the need for uncomplicated, high-performance skincare made with amazing ingredients — all in one place, designed for real life and real skin.

I’m 26 now, from the North East of England, balancing life as a support worker while building this brand from the ground up.

I love fashion, a laid-back but fun lifestyle, and I wanted SANO SKIN to reflect that: clean, classy, minimal and effective.

Working with Blackbird Skincare, we carefully formulated our first product — the Brillo Hydratante Moisturiser — designed for all skin types, lightweight and nourishing without leaving the skin oily or dry. It features Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide and Vitamin E to hydrate, soothe and protect.

There are so many people like me searching for skincare that looks great, feels incredible, and supports skin health without compromise. When I couldn’t find a brand that ticked every box, I created one.
